Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, the first Vice President and second President of independent India, is known for his great works. His name is written with golden letters in Indian history. He was a teacher, philosopher, visionary and social reformer. At the time of independence, he was counted among the scholars. He was the conductor of Indian culture and a faithful Hindu thinker. Vivekananda and Veer Savarkar has influenced his ideas. He said that the teachers of the country play an important role in nation-building. Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan was born on 5 September 1888 in a poor Brahmin family in Tirumani village of Tamil Nadu. His father’s name was Sarvepalli Viraswamy. Bey was a learned Brahmin and worked in the revenue department. His mother’s name was Sitamma. The entire responsibility of the family was on his father. Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan’s childhood was spent in the village itself. He has five brothers and one sister in second place.
Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan was a brilliant student since childhood. His early education took place at Lutheran Mission School, Tirupati, a Christian missionary institution. After this, he went to Vellore in the year 1900 for further studies. Where he studied till the year 1904. In the year 1902, he passed the matriculation level examination, for which he was also given a scholarship. After this, in 1904, he passed the Faculty of Arts examination in first class. During this, he had got special qualifications in psychology, history and mathematics. After this, he completed his post-graduation in Philosophy.
He made a glorious career and represent India at its best, Sarvepalli Sahib was the Vice Chancellor of Andhra University from 1931 to 1936. He made his presence felt at UNESCO in 1946 as an Indian representative. He was also the head teacher at Oxford University from 1936 to 1952. Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan was the Chancellor of Banaras Hindu University from 1939 to 1948. He served as the Chancellor of Delhi University from 1953 to 1962. He was not only a great philosopher but a writer also, he wrote more than 60 books in the English language. The credit for Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan’s lane of politics goes to Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. When Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan returned to India from his Europe and America tour. Jawaharlal Nehru urged Radhakrishnan to do diplomatic work with the Soviet Union as a distinguished ambassador. He served as a member of the Constituent Assembly from 1947 to 1949. He was a man with simple and authentic behaviour. After that, he was the Vice President of the country from 13 May 1952 to 13 May 1962. All the other leaders were shocked by making him the Vice President but proved Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan wrong with his actions and on 13 May 1962, he was elected the President of India.

डॉ सर्वपल्ली राधाकृष्णन बचपन से ही मेधावी छात्र थे। उनकी प्रारंभिक शिक्षा एक ईसाई मिशनरी संस्था, तिरुपति के लूथरन मिशन स्कूल में हुई। इसके बाद वे आगे की पढ़ाई के लिए साल 1900 में वेल्लोर चले गए। जहां उन्होंने वर्ष 1904 तक पढ़ाई की। वर्ष 1902 में उन्होंने मैट्रिक स्तर की परीक्षा उत्तीर्ण की, जिसके लिए उन्हें छात्रवृत्ति भी दी गई। इसके बाद 1904 में उन्होंने कला संकाय की परीक्षा प्रथम श्रेणी में उत्तीर्ण की। इस दौरान उन्होंने मनोविज्ञान, इतिहास और गणित में विशेष योग्यता प्राप्त की थी। इसके बाद उन्होंने दर्शनशास्त्र में स्नातकोत्तर की पढ़ाई पूरी की।
