World Athletics Championships 2023: Neeraj Chopra enter finals, qualifies for Paris Olympics 2024

Neeraj Chopra, the Olympic gold medalist, has qualified for the final of the men's javelin throw event at the World Athletics Championships.

Chopra threw 88.77m in the qualifying round, his best performance of the season.

The throw also guaranteed him a direct berth in the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Chopra is the only Indian athlete to have won a gold medal at the Olympics, the Asian Games, and the Commonwealth Games.

He is also the first Indian to win a Diamond League title.

Chopra's performance in the qualifying round is a good sign for his chances of winning a medal in the final.

He will be up against some tough competition, including the reigning world champion Anderson Peters of Grenada.

The final of the men's javelin throw event will be held on Sunday, August 27.
